1. Acceptance
By registering on Valmiki Rishtey you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Who can join
The platform is for members of the Valmiki samaj who are 18 years of age or above and who are looking to find a life partner or to support the community as a volunteer. You confirm that all information you give during registration and on your profile is your own, accurate, and that you are using the platform for a genuine matrimonial purpose.
3. Free of cost
All matrimonial features — registration, profile creation, browsing, interests, chat — are free for the community. The Samiti may, in future, offer an optional paid on-ground verification service; that service will always be clearly marked and is never required to use the rest of the platform.
4. Member responsibilities
When you use the platform you agree that you will:
- Provide truthful information and a real photo of yourself.
- Use a respectful, civil tone in all messages and not harass any other member.
- Not share content that is sexually explicit, defamatory, hateful, or in violation of Indian law.
- Not pretend to be someone you are not, or operate the account of another person without their permission.
- Not use the platform for commercial purposes, spam, or to promote unrelated services.
- Keep your account password and any 2FA recovery codes private.
5. Profile moderation
Every profile is reviewed by an admin before being made visible. Any edit re-submits the profile to the moderation queue. Profiles that violate these terms, or that an admin believes are fake or unsafe, will be rejected or removed. Repeat violations may lead to account suspension without notice.
6. KYC and verification
KYC is optional but recommended. If you submit your Aadhaar PDF, you agree that an admin or community volunteer may open the PDF (using the password you share with them in person) to confirm your identity. Verified members receive a verified ✓ badge on their public profile.
7. Volunteers
Members who join the volunteer programme agree to follow the volunteer code of conduct, treat every member with respect and confidentiality, never share another member's KYC or contact information outside the platform, and disclose any conflict of interest to the admin.
8. Reporting and blocking
If a member harasses you or seems to be running a fake account, please use the Report button on their profile. The admin team reviews every report and may take action including warning, account suspension or permanent ban. You may also delete your own account at any time from the Account Settings page.
9. Disputes and matters beyond the platform
Valmiki Rishtey only helps members connect with each other. Any meeting in person, any communication outside the platform, any engagement or marriage decision and any financial dealings between members are the personal responsibility of the families involved. The Samiti and the platform are not responsible for the outcome of those interactions.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take the platform down for maintenance or upgrades. We may also change features over time. We will give reasonable notice for any change that materially affects how members use the platform.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly violates these terms, that is found to be fake or operated by a minor, or that has been reported for serious misconduct. On termination, the member's profile is removed from public view; some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
